One ring-bound lined notebook, each page divided into columns for number of item received, name of sender, whether letter, card or fax, address, date written, and reply date. The first 431 entries are written by Deborah MacMillan's sister, entries 432 - 457 are by Deborah MacMillan and entries 458 - 515 by Francesca Franchi during the process of organising the archive. Reverse and final pages in the notebook have notes and sketches on unrelated subjects in Deborah MacMillan's hand.
The box contains 167 cards, faxes and letters of condolences from friends, neighbours and colleagues including choreographers, directors of ballet companies and theatres, designers, musicians, photographers, critics and authors.
