              Full length portrait in costume. Bedells is standing on the left of the image holding a fan in her right hand and left arm is resting on the arm of her partner, Genée. Genée is standing on the right of the image holding a fan in her right arm and holding her skirt with the left arm. The name of the photographer is signed on the bottom right corner of the image. The name of the dancers, event, production and date is handwritten on the reverse.
              (The first Royal Academy of Dancing ball, in aid of the building fund, was held at Grosvenor House on June 8th 1939)
