Kenneth MacMillan created the one-act ballet Rituals for The Royal Ballet which premiered on 11.12.1975 at the Royal Opera House, London, UK. In this ballet, Kenneth MacMillan adapted Japanese martial arts and traditional theatre conventions. The material comprises:
