The photographs collection has accumulated through gifts and donations over a number of years but most notably from Arnold Haskell who in 1955, offered his entire collection of photographs and programmes to the RAD as a wedding present to the new RAD President Margot Fonteyn. It is his donation that forms the core of the ‘personalities collection’ and includes many famous names as well as some beautiful and personally inscribed images from ballerinas Tamara Toumanova, Pearl Argyle and Lydia Lopokova.
