              The material in this file relates primarily to An Evening of Ballets by Kenneth MacMillan, staged by the Paris Opera Ballet in 1978. It includes a printed booking form, casting details, rehearsal schedules, a telegram from Rolf Lieberman referencing the difficulties that have occurred, agreements and payments, an invitation to the reception after the first night, and two handwritten cards from Violette [Verdy] one with praise for the dancers in Chant [Song of the Earth], 1978-1979

              The material in this file includes negotiations between Kenneth MacMillan and Partner and the Paris Opera Ballet for the production of Manon by the Company. There is correspondence with the Bureau de Musique Mario Bois concerning copyright in the choreography and in the score prepared by Leighton Lucas. There is also correspondence concerning the law suit taken out by Mme.Besson Massenet, a descendent of the composer Jules Massenet, and the National Video Corporation, and between Kenneth MacMillan and Partner agreeing to the ballet being performed as L'Histoire de Manon in France, 1990-1992
