The Ankara State Ballet of Turkey contacted Kenneth MacMillan, via the British Council, to ask to stage The Invitation in their 1985-1986 season, and in 1992 to stage Mayerling. There is a photocopy of the manuscript draft of an article by Margaret Dale about Kenneth MacMillan rehearsing two dancers from The Australian in the pas de deux from Concerto to be performed in Manila.
