The Ankara State Ballet of Turkey contacted Kenneth MacMillan, via the British Council, to ask to stage The Invitation in their 1985-1986 season, and in 1992 to stage Mayerling. Neither project was realised. The letter from The British Council, 6 Mar 1992, has a handwritten draft reply by Kenneth MacMillan

This file includes correspondence between Kenneth and Deborah MacMillan and Anne Woolliams, Peggy van Praagh and Robert Helpmann, impresarios Lilian and Victor Hochauser and Sol Hurok and the MacMillans' agent, concerning requests by The Australian Ballet to perform some of Kenneth MacMillan's ballets. There is a photocopy of the manuscript draft of an article by Margaret Dale about Kenneth MacMillan rehearsing two dancers from The Australian in the pas de deux from Concerto to be performed in Manila.

It includes letters from Frederick Ashton, Fleming Flindt, Erik Bruhn, Sona Arova, Vera Volkova, Nora Kaye, Peter Darrell, Joan Thring re MacMillan creating a ballet for Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev and mentioning the RAD Gala for 1969, Margaret Dale, and an invitation to the memorial service for Aenne Pfusch-Schenck von Trapp. It includes letters from the Royal Danish Ballet, the Royal Swedish Ballet, Norwegian Ballet, the Varna International Ballet Competition, Great Yarmouth Music Club, the British Broadcasting Corporation, Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Nacional de Santiago, Chile, Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, Argentina, Queensland Ballet Company and Western Theatre Ballet
