Kenneth MacMillan directed three plays for the theatre between 1982 and 1984. He continued to pursue the idea of directing further plays for the stage as reflected in the correspondence in some of these files

The files in this series of records were accumulated by Kenneth and Deborah MacMillan during the course of MacMillan's career. They include personal and professional correspondence with individuals which illustrates the close relationships between the choreographer and the companies he worked with.
