In 1978 MacMillan's Mayerling directed by Derek Bailey was nominated for, and won, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for Best Television Documentary. This file comprises handwritten letters from Aunt Jean, signed from her and Uncle Bill, with family news. She encloses some colour photographs of herself and Uncle Bill and of other members of the family. The first Evening Standard Ballet Awards were presented in 1973. There are printed programmes of the Awards presented in 1976, 1978 (two copies) and 1994. Kenneth MacMillan was presented with the Most Outstanding Achievement in Ballet Award in 1978. Kenneth MacMillan won the International Emmy Award for A Lot of Happiness, a ballet created for Granada Televsion in 1982, and for The Judas Tree, his final work for The Royal Ballet in 1992.
