This file comprises handwritten letters from Aunt Jean, signed from her and Uncle Bill, with family news. She encloses some colour photographs of herself and Uncle Bill and of other members of the family. One four page letter expresses the family's pleasure at being at the Graduation Ceremony when Kenneth MacMillan received the Degree of Doctor Honoris Causa, and their delight at meeting Charlotte, 6 Dec [1975]

The first Evening Standard Ballet Awards were presented in 1973. There are printed programmes of the Awards presented in 1976, 1978 (two copies) and 1994. Kenneth MacMillan was presented with the Most Outstanding Achievement in Ballet Award in 1978. The programmes list previous winners and the 1994 programme lists Sir Kenneth MacMillan for Most Outstanding Achievement in Ballet in 1991. There are two programmes for the Drama Awards for 1978 and for 1982 that give the order of the evening and the menu for the dinner at the Savoy Hotel, with place names for Mr Kenneth MacMillan and Mrs Deborah MacMillan in the 1979 menu.

This file contains a letter from Jocelyn Stevens, Rector of the Royal College of Art, to Kenneth MacMillan inviting him to accept the Honorary Doctorate of the Royal College of Art at their 1992 Convocation ceremony, 19 Mar 1992, a letter from Alan Selby, Registrar, enclosing Order of Proceedings 11 May 1992, another letter from Selby enclosing a copy of the speech given by the Public Orator, 16 Jul 1992, a letter from Professor Christopher Frayling, enclosing a signed copy of the speech he gave, with a copy of Kenneth MacMillan's reply, 24 Aug 1992.
There are three copies of the printed Order of Proceedings at the Royal Albert Hall and two tickets, 10 Jul 1992

Kenneth MacMillan won the International Emmy Award for A Lot of Happiness, a ballet created for Granada Televsion in 1982, and for The Judas Tree, his final work for The Royal Ballet in 1992. The material in this file includes a memo and letter about A Lot of Happiness, 1982, a press release from the Royal Opera House about the television film of Kenneth MacMillan's ballet The Judas Tree winning the Emmy Award, 1992, and a Granada Golden Jubilee publication giving a history of the Granada Group of Companies including A Lot of Happiness winning the International Emmy Award, with photograph. There is a compliments slip from Herbert Ross with the publication
